Our world were divided, from the Garden of Eden onwards, between Human, who partook of the Apple and went her own way, and Wolf, apex predator and King of all animals who were left behind?

What if, after aeons of being hunted by Man, the Wolf used its powers to build a Rift between kingdoms, one separated by a single bridge spanning the mists of time?

 

And then closed its Lycan borders to humanity, save that one hidden bridge and a network of secret embassies and spies to check on the Human world from time to time? Spies and secret ambassadors disguised as humans?

What if the Lycan land’s ancient rules of animal dominance and mating were challenged by a young princess? Whose father was going to be faced down by her nemesis, a brute of a ruthless young Beta male who wanted the Throne for his own? And her for his stable of mates?

And what if the Brute attacks before anyone’s ready? Outside the rules of The Challenge?

Does she run? Take her own pups and hide them? Cross the border bridge and take that terrible transition to become half-Human?  A-Were?
 

And where else does that border bridge open to besides Death Valley, the hottest place on the planet?
 

And there, trying to control her very human body and in search of the savior for her King and her land, incredibly… she meets this guy?
 

This solo long-distance insufferable smartass trucker who won’t even give her the time of day except a ride to the nearest Love’s Truck Stop?
